I love the seminar idea. I very strongly believe that seminars are one of the best marketing techniques available, and nobody uses them! I think in your case, your customers need to feel taken care of. They need to feel like someone is taking the decision-making stress off their shoulders. They need to feel like their house will keep up with the Jones’ house. And like you said, they’re sick of their house.

My son’s nanny got dumped a few weeks ago and showed up one day with new hair color. She said her mother always used to tell her, “If you can’t change your life, change your hair.” I think the same is probably also true for paint colors. People are feeling like their life is in a rut, like they don’t have the power to change things, like things aren’t going the way they want. Your service can give them their power back. They get to feel like things are on the upswing, like there’s progress. If you can’t change your life, change your paint!

Anyway, that’s my rant done. It was great to have you at the site. We’re doing a 4-week series that started today on how to run your own business. This week is about time management, with money, marketing, and the psychology of working from home to follow. I’d love to see you there.
